Affordable place to do DIY boatwork on my sailboat. Sailed out from Portland and spent one month temporarily living aboard doing a full paint job. This place is so amazing! The old school knowledge and customer service from the staff is great! They treated me with respect even though I think I had one of the smallest boats in the yard. Super grateful to Brendon and Joey and all the guys, and just to whatever powers that be, terrestrial or otherwise, that allow a place like this to still exist! Just about everything you’d expect prompt service too
Spent the past five months hauled out here working on our 40' sailboat. It's been a great place to work (suggest the summer!). The two main fellas, Brenden and Joey, are fantastic. The boatyard is a mix of professional fishing boats and personal yachts, and those two guys have the right mix of professionalism, work ethic, and customer service that works for both types of customers. That's not a common combination in my opinion. Firmly recommend this yard. Astoria is right there and is a great town to spend time in as well.
I highly recommend the Port of Astoria Boat Yard. The crew is very customer service oriented. There are a lot of local skilled people who can help you get things done. And there is an excellent Marine and equipment store that has a great variety of tools and parts located just across the street. Plus there are a lot of great restaurants and bars in town. So when you’re not grinding away on your boat there are nice places to go eat and drink.
