We just arrived after a long boat trip to the Broughtan Archipelago and we woke up to find that our dear labradoodle Annie had urinated (UNCHARACTERISTICALLY!) all over the boat. And there were some spots of blood in it. It was a Thursday and we were in the middle of nowhere -so it seemed. Thank God I found on a Google search the North Island Vetrinary Clinic in Port McNeill. They offered support for my ill pet however were not forthcoming with costs until I pressed them for $ breakdown. I did not use their services as I feared they would pressure me into VERY costly procedures. I know people who have gotten into financial debt with this clinic. Beware! Ask questions
Great small town vet, everyone there has a passion towards animals and are a great help
This vet graciously accommodated an appointment for our male labradoodle that was having a minor health issue. I explained we were out of town (boaters), and they fit us in. Dr Reid was very helpful and knowledgeable. She took a biopsy and read the results quickly for us. A few weeks later, while underway on our boat and much farther away, I had some follow up questions.
