Pleasantly surprised! It’s very old school (basic pub menu with salad bar) but the beer was cold, service great, patrons friendly and food fantastic! Very generous, wonderfully cooked steaks and big fat juicy chicken schnitzels. So glad we went there on a whim while passing through town

Well the Port Germein Hotel, what a great place to stop for a drink and meal, very friendly helpful staff, excellent friendly patrons, food well priced delight, good range of beer and wine looking for a great country pub this is it, drop in a must, plenty of parking
I brought a chicken schnitzel with mushroom gravy on Friday night as a takeaway meal and the meal was absolutely delicious and I was given a container to get a serving from the salad bar which had some great selections and was very fresh and tasty.. i was extremely pleased with my meal and will order again
The friendly staff and excellent meals make this pub a little gem. Worth the visit
