For the past couple years, I found little to no decorum exists during their meetings, They tend to use their own bastardized version of Roberts Rules of Order when conducting meetings. Minutes are poorly written. PCYC is not run as a real yacht club per se. It's more so a social club in my eye. It is not located on the water. The cost to join increased to an astronomical $200.00 per year. Great people make great friends. The club is a great group of people. a mixture of snowbirds and locals make this club great. You don't need to own a boat. A plus.
Port Charlotte Yacht Club is a home away from home. The people are lovely and it's wonderful to have like minded people participate for a variety of events (both on and off the water).
