They try... These folks try to manage their forest in a good way, but I can't support the clearcutting they do each year. Of course, I live right next to them so I have to live with it the most.... Their uncut land includes some short hiking and biking trails and a picnic area. The clearcuts are higher up the hill, but move down and across every year. So far I haven't seen much replanting.
