Outstanding architecture but service in all restaurants and the lobby unfriendly and some are quite arrogant to new customers.
Attending the Cirque du Soleil's Echo performance last month was worth the trip but our stay at the Populus was a truly a masterclass in how not to run a hotel. The theme of this hotel is unmistakably 'Saving the Planet, Forgetting the Guest.' If I could give a negative rating, I would. The standard rooms are a little small but its a cool hotel. The people are really nice. I do feel bad that the valet has to RUN a couple blocks to get your car.
We enjoyed our stay at populus! Perfect location to walk to 16th street mall, about 3 blocks.
Stopped by and had drinks up at Stellar Jay and checked out the lobby and second floor. Nicest restrooms I've ever seen and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Next time I'm in Denver I'm checking this place first!
