Your Old World Ice Cream Parlor The moment you walk into Pops, you feel like you've stepped into the past. This ice cream shop looks like one you'd find in the early 1900s, but the ice cream is freshly made. In the back you can even witness the ice cream machines that make the fresh flavors such as Tiramisu and Banana. They've got freshly made pies as well. The staff is very friendly. Parking may be an issue as it's in Old Town Alexandria. As on every busy weekend in Old Town, it may take a little while to find a spot nearby
The BEST ice cream anywhere It is all homemade, it comes in a ton of flavors and one cup is large enough for two people to share! They make all the typical fare - cones, sundaes, floats, malts and specialty items. They are located just a block off the Potomac at the end of King Street in Old Town, so it is the perfect evening to grab a cone and walk down by the river. My favorite is Peanut butter, with chocolate mixed in!

My husband who is a truist, had the chocolate. He thought it was terrible and complained about the lack of flavor. Chocolate is hard to mess up. It seems to be a popular spot... try it if you want-- but reme... read more
