Terrible place so unorganized. Employees sit around doing nothing while charging the customer. They over charge for the work. Have no idea what they are doing. While there I witnessed a male employee screaming at a female employee for asking questions for another customer. The food menu at the restaurant is worst in the area and the rental boat we got was a mess. I wouldn’t send my enemy there
John saved me "TONS" of time and money by steering me in the right direction. Was contemplating buying a replacement outboard motor (John could have made a big commission on) but clearly had my best interest in mind...I'm repairing my existing. I would recommend anyone who is considering replacing or buy a watercraft to first talk to John!
NC Boat Brokers - Drove 400 miles to buy a motor from John Matthews. I picked out a motor, left my boat and a $500.00 deposite. The boat was ready in less then a week. Perfect service, It was well worth the time, money and distance. John knows outboards. I would not hesitate to buy from him again. You will not find better service anywere in the USA.

If you are having a problem with your outboard find John Matthews, do not waste your time with anyone else. He is absolutely the best there is anywere.
The NC store has a friendly & knowledgeable staff. I would recommend them to anyone needing service done to there boat or who is in the market for a new boat. I spoke with John Matthews in regards to a problem with my 2003 Mercury 115 4 stroke. He was able to diagnose the problem from our conversation. I took his advice, the boat runs Great.
