While the Hermiston Popeye's certainly experienced some growing pains when they first opened (as many reviews reflect), largely due to staffing issues, their service has improved remarkably over the recent months. During this time frame, my online/app orders have been filled correctly, the chicken was hot, fresh and juicy, and the order was ready to go in a timely fashion. I love Popeyes, absolutely love them. So I was excited to eat here. My first, and only visit they screwed it up BAD First, they forgot about my $90 order for 30 minutes. Straight up didn't prep it, and asked us why we were waiting. The cooking staff never washed their hands after touching other items, including clocking in. Never changed gloves either. Food was disgusting. You cant get the signature spicy chicken unless you want to wait 20 minutes. Isn't Popeyes fast food? The young man was very sweet the Manager was short and I would say rude. I told her the food was terrible she didn't even say sorry. Don't waste your time go to KFC and put your own Cajun sauce on it at home!!!
I get being short staffed is hard however this level of service is unacceptable by any stretch of the imagination. Went through the drive thru at 7:38, cashed out and asked to park at 7:42 and was not given food until 8:12. No communication but watched them stack car after car with no food coming out. Management should focus more on the customer experience than focusing solely on low drive times and low labor.
