Food was good and hot
The iced tea maker was not working. The soda machine produced a flat product. The bun on my chicken sandwich was cold to the touch and taste of the spicy selection was unremarkable; in addition, the chicken was rubbery. The cole slaw was bland. My guest found her chicken tenders to be small, very thin and with barely any breading. Overall, a very disappointing Popeye's visit. It will be some time before I return.
Stopped in here mid trip because I was really feeling like some chicken tenders. Service was a little slow. Atmosphere was a Popeye's Chicken Place for some reason they could not change the 9-volt battery in a smoke detector. The whole time I was there eating all I can hear was it beeping. And the chicken tenders tasted like fish and also broke apart like a fish fillet. I know it was chicken but I'm pretty sure they used the same fryer to fry the chicken that they do the fish.
