The food is ho-hum okay at best. Most of the time they screw up the order anyway. And the service is absolutely horrible. Always takes five times longer than any other restaurant I've ever been to it takes them longer than a sit-down restaurant. And the competency of probably 75% of their employees is absolutely atrocious. I'm talking they don't know their left from their right.
Ordered a large red beans n rice and they gave me three tiny containers half full . The containers all three on top of the other is the size of the large . Call and Manger told me this was the new policy. I'm done, they got to get every drop from us don't they?
Took another couple here that had never experienced Popeyes before, I love their chicken, rice and beans and coleslaw. Both the men ordered all dark but we each got a breast. The other pieces tested like they had been sitting there a long time as they were dry. We had gone a month ago and the food was delicious, so maybe just luck of the draw.
Went through drive through and got two 3pc strips meal with fries and no drink. They said they were out of a few pieces of strips, so could they put a couple boneless chicken tenders in there instead and I said yes. Got food to work and it was all completely inedible. You could not decipher between strips or tenders - it was all cold pieces of some type of meat. The fried were also completely inedible. Good food until they stopped selling cajun rice and stopped selling fried gizzards, very rude response when asked why not also. they told me it was a management decision, HA!!
