I was really looking forward to eating Popeyes, but I was very disappointed. The chicken was extremely greasy, and the batter was watery instead of crispy. The food didn't taste fresh, and shortly after eating it, my stomach started hurting. This was not the quality I expected, and I hope this location pays more attention to food preparation and freshness.
This review will be short and sweet. I hit Wheaton Mall on lunch, ordered from Bourbon Street Cafe. They didn't offer a diet soda of any kind, so I stopped at Popeyes for a large coke. You know, the 32-ounce fountain kind. $4.23. I was floored. At a time when McDonald's is selling any-sized soft drink for $1.49, THAT is the best this place can do to be competitive? I'd hate to see what a three-piece meal costs.
