On more than one occasion, they've given me a fair and detailed estimate and then managed to charge me *less* because they managed to do something faster or easier than they expected. Just went in for a second opinion on a automatic transmission that the dealer said was "unserviceable" despite having driven it there. Pope Auto was upfront about their diagnostic fees and stuck to them, and besides a pretty comprehensive diagnostic of the transmission, they did a super-thorough job going through the whole car and assessing other future problems, along with itemized repair/replacement cost estimates for everything. Highly recommended, and would not hesitate to take any of my cars there for service.
Mike and Aaron at Pope are probably the best service advisors to work with. They earned my trust with the first vehicle I have brought to them, and I have had them look at three so far. The moment they earned my full trust is when they admitted they couldn’t 100% diagnose a noise. Instead of saying replacement of struts would for sure fix the issue, they recommended to keep driving the vehicle (and making sure it was going to be safe to do so) and bring it back when the noise is louder to find out the root cause. Incredible service, reasonable pricing, and lovely people! Spent 15 minutes on the phone answering my questions and going over details. They fixed my engine oil leak without the unnecessary charges other shops quoted me for. Will absolutely be back! Edit: I’ve been a few times now & they always go above and beyond. Can’t recommend them enough.
