They built a pool for us and a lifetime warranty on the pool construction - a complete hoax. DO NOT BUY A POOL FROM THIS COMPANY. They are dishonest and for 2 years they did not return our phone calls. It is going to cost us $40,000 to fix the problems.
We had them install our pool in 2012. Great craftsmanship but one of the workers cut our well line which they fixed but then the guinite installer hooked his truck to our home hose and blew the well pump. Thankfully they gave us a credit. Then a year or two later they did a mid winter service and scratched our pool. We repeatedly asked for them to come look at it and repair it. Never heard from them. RUN from this company! Horrible customer service, very difficult to work with and will cost you money with every interaction. They do not stand by their products or installations. Extremely short staffed, highly emotional employees that are not solutions oriented (just complainers) and will make your pool experience horrible. There are so many reputable pool companies out there so do yourself a favor and find another company. This company does not stand behind their work and will not resolve remaining construction issues after they are paid. I've been trying to get them to finish 2 remaining issues with the sun shelf and pool plaster since the build in 2015. I'm still hoping they will finally resolve these issues as promised by one of the Murphy owners so I will not have to take other means to get this resolved. Very discouraged owner, *** **
In 2003, Pools by Murphy and sons installed a unite underground pool on our property. The original contract stated they would have the work done in 1 month and it took 4 months. Within a year, decorative tiles began falling off. Every year, multiple tiles fall off. The coping has not held up either. The decking is 3' wide and the top surface has broken off in some spots. I hired them to renovate the pool deck 3 years ago, After two failed attempts to renovate (and long interruptions in the use of the pool) the pool deck looks worse than when we started and the coping is cracking and falling into the pool. The workmanship and supervision of the project was abysmal, they damaged the pool, and fixed the part they damaged but will not respond to the issues around the deck., even though we were willing to work with them to come up with another solution.
I had a pool installed about 4 years ago, I have to say it was the worst experience I have ever had. Sales man Mike, nice guy, took time to do a beautiful blueprint. But when it came time for the pool to be dug, it looked nothing like the print. The project manager told us "I make beautiful pools. He changed the side of the spa, said we needed a 2 foot wall because of the slope($2000) paid on the spot. We had no slope. Changed the look even more. We had a similar experience as the prior review. They make promises to show up and then they don't. They then make excuses about why they don't show up when you finally get them on the phone.
