Went online to check them out and they have “no pit bulls allowed” plastered on their home page. Seems unprofessional considering they call themselves “the new generation of pet care.” I wouldn’t want to trust a place that can’t handle a pit bull with handling my GSD or any other dog that is alive for that matter. Surprised they don’t have “blacks need not apply” right under their other irrational request.
RecommendedA couple of years ago I had to board 2 senior pups for the night due to a family wedding I was in. my one had special needs and the people their were so welcoming to us. The one girl could tell I was nervous but assured me it was fine. I could see the pups live feed as they played in the area there. They pups were so well taken care of! I highly recommend this place. They have passed now but if I need to board my 2 other pups I will definitely drive to gb just because of how great they are!
I cannot understand how a dog facility can discriminate against breeds vs doing a temperament evaluation on each dog. We all know bad dogs come in all breeds. Unprofessional. My dog is extremely friendly with other animals, been through professional training.
I dropped off three hyper pups on Friday night and picked up three sleepy pups on Saturday afternoon. That’s all I can really ask for :)
As a place for dogs they should not be discriminating based on breed but perhaps on temperament of the dogs themselves.
I love bringing our Athena here. She gets excited to go play every time we drop her off and seems to love the staff. There was an issue the first time we brought her here but they rectified it quickly and how they handled it made me understand they are very caring for the animals they have there.
I board my dog here mostly because of the cameras. Almost an hour into playtime and my dog was still in her kennel..I called and they told me she was “sleeping in” and “a little shy”. Come on! This is the 2nd time she’s been boarded there and this has happened where I’ve had to call before they take her out and she gets to play. Super disappointed for how much we pay for her to board there.
We boarded our babies (4&5 year old boxers) for 8 days while on vacation. Checked in on them via webcam and called a few times to hear how they were doing. Picked them up freshly groomed and very exhausted. Job well done.
I would never recommend poochies & mutts to anyone because they instantly judge and discriminate against certain dog breeds before even meeting the dogs. They are not welcoming or professional at all.
