Worst Experience Ever! – I took my miniature poodle to get groomed at this place today. When I picked him up I was in shock! He looked like a dog from the pound that had had to get shaved down. The top of the head hair does not even reach 1 cm as well as the hair from his entire body! The owner said that maybe he was matted but her daughter who manages the salon said NO, he had no matts. This is client?s 3rd visit. First 2 times she was just thrilled, no complaints, LOVED IT! This visit, she asked for a shorter cut on her poodle and from our conversation at drop-off I was clear on what she expecting. I did not groom her dogs this day; one of my new groomers did (Note: new groomer to Pooch, not NEW to grooming). I told her what to use on the poodle's body and his head AND watched her SHAVE the poodle's face (which was already quite short) with my own eyes.
A little annoyed – I love the way they groom my boss' dog, they do a great job BUT.. the last time i brought their dog there she ended up getting finished about 12:00 ish or so... on their website it says they will not leave until the last dog is gone and they arent supposed to close till 5:30.. she called me at 3 in a tone that i did not appreciate and I had to stop what i was doing in order to get the dog... when they close at 5:30. I understand she wanted to leave but that was ridiculous!

I am so sorry about the inconvenience. Depending on the season and the day's schedule, we usually finish early afternoon and close shop when the last dog is picked up. Normally, we require pick up when your dog is finished being groomed since we do not offer daycare. We try to accommodate clients that require late pick up on days when we are super busy. We also have Saturday hours. Again, I apologize for any tone that may have sounded rude and hope you will come back to Pooch.
Best in the County – Best groomers in the county, possibly the city, maybe the country! If you are tired and bothered by groomers keeping your pets 4 to 6 hours without water, cramped in a cage, only to get overcharged for a bad haircut, I would suggest Pooch on the Hooch. They did both my dogs in about 2 1/2 hours. They were kept in a playpen, they looked great, and I paid less......What more could someone want! They got my business permanently Cody and Dexters Mom

Always a wonderful groom! – Kimberly has groomed our dogs since they were pups almost 3 years ago. When she and Holly opened Pooch on the Hooch we were (and still are) happy to drive the 20+ miles from our home to Duluth for the best grooms ever! Our babies just eat up the attention and love they receive. When we pick them up they are clean, great-smelling AND tired. It's like sending them to a doggie spa! Try Pooch on the Hooch for yourself and see. Then tell all your friends about them. They are the absolute best!!!!

Amazing! Our dog was SO Happy! – We have used a couple of the high end (and snooty) dog care facilities over the past two years. As much as the promise that our fun loving :) boxer with get plenty of play time ... we always pick him up feeling lied to. He was very clingy and super hyper. The best in Duluth – I would not take my Yorkie anywhere else. She looks so adorable. Kim and Brittany are so nice and Roxie (my dog) absolutely loves them. They love her back, except for when she pees on the floor ;-)
Very Personable!!! – From the moment you walk in the door, You're greeted with big, friendly smiles and hellos! My dog always SMELLS absolutely DELICIOUS too! not to mention she is completely worn out and falls asleep every day on the way home! I would definitely recommend Pooch on the Hooch to any and all pet owners!!
Super sweet staff – Kim and company are so cool. Everyone is so friendly and my puppy love is there. I like the fact that my liffle baby actually gets playtime when i have her boarding. My liffle baby smelled wonderful and her nails looked great the time i used them for grooming.
