Probably the worst hopsital I've ever had the displeasure to visit. The emergency doc is more concerned with chatting with his buddies than seeing to patients. If you have a medical emergency go elsewhere, you'll have better luck getting treated in a timely manner.
Might honestly be the worst emergency room in Alberta, the nurses do nothing but stand around and talk, are rude and have no bedside manner. Takes forever to get anything done, get a room or finally see the doctor and then most cases after you see the doctor your left again waiting for the nurses ( who do nothing) to come help you whenever they finish standing around and talking. Pathetic healthcare avoid avoid avoid
1039 views. Go to Wetaskiwin or any place but Ponoka. 10 hrs. and they wanted me to wait who knows how long for a medical transport to Red Deer. No insulin no food no water no meds no info. They didn't even ask. Nurses try their best. Dr. What Dr. Never seen one. They told me I had heart damage two other hospitals disagree.
Went to emergency today as I had a little accident. Triage nurse, Gina, was super nice !!! Other than Lacombe, no arrogance and looking down on patients at all. Gina was also the one cleaning up my injury, giving me a tetanus shot (did not hurt at all!!) and then she wrapped everything up neatly. Great job and thank you for your service !!! Waiting room is a mess though and needs a work over for sure
