Todd and his crew did an incredible job with our deck in Kula. Todd has great talent with creative design ideas. The crew was reliable and professional.
I have been lucky enough to live in two different homes built by Pono Building Company, one as the owner of a spec home they built and one as a tenant. After I bought the spec home, they did some custom work for me on that property as well. I cannot recommend them more highly. 20 years on Maui, and they are still my first recommendation to anyone looking for a contractor here.
Todd and I did the renovation on our home in Kula. I couldn't have been happier. He is an exceptional designer and builder. Several magazines have contacted us to feature our home for an article. For someone wanting a unique, personalized design to accommodate their own lifestyle I would highly recommend Pono Building company.
Update, 1 year later: all of the below is true and we found such poor construction: the tub now leaks water through the tiles, my house trim is rusted from the tin he used, and the $800 tub knobs are rusting. The jokes he drilled for the lanai cables, not up to code. 1. Do NOT sign an open ended contract. Todd & I agreed on a budget, which I have in writing.
