Pomodoro Italian Kitchen is A Favorite Restaurant We are frequent diners at Pomodoro's and have never had a meal we did not enjoy. We have been eating there since the day they opened and continue to enjoy their food 1-2 times per week. Nice place to go in downtown Mebane I enjoyed my meal at Pomodoro in Mebane. It's right downtown, and the food and service were excellent, especially the lasagne and bread. It was a good value for the cost. It has a cozy atmosphere that fits in well with its small town location.
We live in Mebane and have been in search of the best Italian restaurant around. We tried this one first...very cute from the outside. Unfortunately that was about all it had going for it. The bread served with our meal was tasteless. The quality of the desserts was average and given the tiny, tiny portions and very high prices for desserts it was certainly not worth it. Worst experience ever in my 30 years of dining at local restaurants. We (party of 9) were there for a Relay for Life meeting. We ordered appetizers and drinks to have during the meeting and dinner to follow. Three of us had to leave after the meeting, but four were staying for dinner. We were insulted by the owner because we didn't stay and "spend more money."
Nice Atmosphere! Pomodoro's, which is located in downtown Mebane, has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The food is very good, and the prices are average or slightly less than most Italian restaurants. It is worth trying out!
I hate having to eat my food with out something to drink! – pomodoros in mebane, nc is great. Great food, timely service, comfortable enviroment. To bad i can,t say the same for Pomodoros in Durham on Hillandale Rd. My Family and I went there tonight and it was in no way comparible to the one in Mebane. Service was terrible, the food was no where near as good as the one in Mebane, And I Don't like having to ask for tea more than twise and never get any. I can't say that i will visit Pomodoros in Durham again.
Poor Customer Service – I arrived with a party of 12 recently for a special occasion. Having frequently dined here I expected smothing far better than what service we recieved. The manager/owner of the establishment was extremely rude and very unhelpful with even the most simply needs. She argued with our guests regarding splitting the checks and could be overheard throughout the seating area berating her employees. Based on my experience, I would advise any large groups not to visit this establishment!
