Good-tasting cupcakes This is a great idea for a business, and I've had fun on several occasions taking my little ones in to enjoy a cupcake and a glass of milk. I've also purchased larger orders for birthdays. Occasionally the cupcakes are dry, but when they're fresh they can't be beat.
Polka Dot Bake Shop is good Good cupcakes but not outstanding. Really cute decorating and they take special orders. I like cupcakes for kid's parties and they do a good job. Cute name too!

Polka Dot Bake Shop is not worth the $$$ I ordered cupcakes for a special occasion - they were $3 each - they charge extra for "polka dots" hellooo that's their name!! They were dry, the frosting had a "fake" butter taste. Needless to say...disappointing!!
Polka Dot Bake Shop is yummy! Great little cupcake store in central Charlotte! Yummy cupcakes, convenient to everything, and professional custom orders. We ordered my daughter's second birthday cupcakes here and they were divine. It's also a great place to stop for a treat. A bit pricey, but worth it.
The Cupcake Tester I pride myself in being the "cupcake tester" of Charlotte, established when I worked as a project manager to create a city guidebook of women businesses in Charlotte (and there are a great number of cupcakeries out there!). Tasty cupcakes, but... I really want to LOVE Polka Dot, but I just don't.The cupcakes are good, but I'd had better, for less money. Heck, I *make* better! It is a fun place to take a child for a treat - at $2.50 a cupcake, it's a pretty cheap "date". There is a little area to sit and eat (though the toys were gone the last time we went).
