I had attended classes at Pole Appeal last year and loved it! I decided to take a break for the winter because trekking over to the studio in the cold was not it for me. I really missed taking classes and felt ready to sign up again and saw that Pole Appeal was sold in December and was now Lace and Steel. Our party of 5 was turned down from taking a class because of a problem with booking. Apparently you can’t book for two people (even tho they will take your money if you register for two spots in a class, like if you’re broke just say that). We tried requesting a refund for a class that WE DID NOT TAKE, and were denied. :/ would not recommend. Especially not with Ellen Moon.
Five people were denied entry and participation by Ellen Moon for the 10:00 am intro to pole dance class today, Saturday February 7, 2026, because one person purchased two tickets for themselves and one other person in the group. Ellen informed us because my name wasn't registered and on the list she could not allow me to participate because I needed to sign a waiver. Classes are fun and instructors are friendly and helpful. If you are in a beginner class, you will most likely be sharing a pole with a stranger. BEWARE OF THE MONTHLY PASSES! I bought a 3-month pass back in April, for April, May and June. After it should've ended, my card was also charged for July. I called Patty and cancelled my membership, and got refunded.
