I purchased the active ice system in anticipation of knee replacement surgery. The system had been recommended to me by friends who used it when they had knee surgery. For me, especially the first 3 weeks of recovery, it really helped relieve pain, swelling and added comfort to my recovery. I'm going to have surgery on the other knee and look forward to using it for relief, again.

Excellent customer service!!! The cooling vest was to big I had ordered; called & they helped me. They made it easy. Send me one size down & label to return the one that didn’t fit. Got here right away in time for this heat. I highly recommend them; very professional & helpful.
The Polar Active Ice System is a wonderful product! Convenient, fits knee after surgery, programmable and easy all around. So glad I purchased it.
UPDATE 4/14/2026 I am one day PO from LTHR. I was home from my surgery by 10:40 am, got my ice machine on and had immediate relief of surgical soreness. I kept it on most of the day but cycling off and on by the timer. I did get up and walk at least every hour- mostly bc of the instructed extra hydration. The pad was easy enough to take off and put back on each time.
