Have have owned the G-2 for about 7 years. Solid and simple unit. I burn wood about 6 months a year and at -30C the unit works well. I was having some issues maintaining a good fire after about year 5. The Heat Smart support team were super responsive and gave me things to explore and try to tweak before spending money on things I might not need. There advise worked. I bought my Polar G2 a number of years ago and have been very happy with it. It is easy to load, easy to clean, and most importantly, keeps the house toasty all winter!

After purchasing a Portage & Main in 2006 From Heat Smart, we wanted to upgrade and contacted Brian from HS, who was always right on board with questions and solutions. He suggested we purchase a Polar G-3. This was in 2019. Brian described its advantages and we saw it was a really good fit for us. Once it arrived, it was a simple and easy hook-up with the manifold. Love my G2+ wood boiler. I installed it in April ’22 and it works great. Switched from a conventional indoor wood heater with forced air system distributing the heat. This system with a heat exchanger in the HVAC duct work is far superior. Love that the temperature in the house is now thermostatically controlled. Much less wood consumed thanks to the high efficiency design and far safer because the heater is 100-ft from the house.
