I checked the website for work hours which states the store closes at 6pm. I drove up at 5pm to pick up bolts for a project. The workers said they are closed as they are walking out. I mentioned the website stated the store closed at 6pm per the website. The manager (I am guessing) said they close at 5pm. That is fine, I will take my money somewhere else.
Recent change from True-Value to Ace included a strong recovery from "low stock" that had begun to happen the last year or two. I'm not yet familiar with the store's layout but best I can tell management and staff have not changed much. I am the kind of HW customer who mostly doesn't want "too much help" which works out well for me. On the other hand, they used to have a few very helpful "handyman" type staff which they do not appear to have right now.

Although English wasn't the first language of the person kind enough to work the weekend and answer the phone, I found out they only do propane exchange, not propane refills. Please adjust the search tags to exclude refill and include exchange so that you aren't paying Google ads for bad hits and misleading people unintentionally. Thanks for working the weekend anyway!
Website states: “Closes at 5” Guess it depends on who is working that day. It’s 4, and their closed.
