Went in recently & the gentleman was very helpful. Today I called to see if they had what I needed. Phone rang a long time then went to what sounded like a fax machine. Decided to go see if they had what I needed. On-line it said they are open until 4pm on Sunday. I got there about 3:30 & they were closed & sign on door said they close at 3pm. They wasted my time. I checked the website for work hours which states the store closes at 6pm. I drove up at 5pm to pick up bolts for a project. The workers said they are closed as they are walking out. I mentioned the website stated the store closed at 6pm per the website. The manager (I am guessing) said they close at 5pm. That is fine, I will take my money somewhere else.

Recent change from True-Value to Ace included a strong recovery from "low stock" that had begun to happen the last year or two. I'm not yet familiar with the store's layout but best I can tell management and staff have not changed much. I am the kind of HW customer who mostly doesn't want "too much help" which works out well for me. On the other hand, they used to have a few very helpful "handyman" type staff which they do not appear to have right now.
