Came into town couldn’t find a place to stay everywhere full. Found this place and was pleasantly surprised. A blast from the past. Reminded me of my youth when my parents would take us on vacations and we’d stay at family run motels not corporate owned places. Owner, her son and granddaughter were very friendly and accommodating. Memorabilia from happier times lined the walls in the hall. Loved this place. Rooms were very clean. Coffee at 8:00! !
I read the description of the motel from '09, it must have been written by a person who was having a bad day and likes new and fancy. Yes, the halls are cluttered with memorabilia of the area and antiques. I found the room I stayed in to be clean and neat and the owner to be very nice and the greeter is a very loveable yellow lab.
Needs an updating badly. Clutter fills the walls in the hallways, and is very dusty. Very small 2 bed room, old wall paper, and clutter fills the walls in the room. Compacted bathroom, and the shower was stained, and it had a moldy shower drain. Carpet in room could of used steam cleaning. Blankets on beds were smelly. Old TV, and sml yellow stained fridge, that takes up the top of an old dresser. WIFI hardly works. Breakfast consist of stale dollar store cookies, and coffee made from stale coffee grounds.
