Excellent docents, warm welcome, knowledgable and they are tickled to be there to help. The gardens and views are spectacular. Parking is convienent. Inviting picnic areas. There is a virtual tour available. Climbing the light house stairs requires good balance. The gift shop is lovely. Wanted to purchase a hat, but the staff was off putting. Her vibe suggested to me that she is tired of people asking the same questions over and over each day. So we left when the visit turned sour.
The view around the lighthouse is SUPERB, and it makes this gem of a lighthouse that much more of a treasure! I'm so glad to have taken the time to stop by and listen to the docents give us a WONDERFUL explanation of the history and the context of the why these lighthouses existed, and what were some of the major historical events that happened around it.
Beautiful view with full of history.
There is a small admission fee to visit this lighthouse and mini museum but it is totally worth it, considering the beautiful lighthouse and artefacts that you get to see and the history with which one can connect. We would like to mention John and Laurie at Lighthouse Point Pinos and extend a special word of thanks to them and the other members of the team.
