I came here to get a 5 mile run in and it has a beautiful beach front with lots of sand. It's 5 miles from Pointe Park to the end of the sidewalk and back. The sidewalk follows the beach with lots of historical facts along the way. I wish I could have seen some of the houses that got destroyed by Katrina but all of the beachfront houses were well maintained and gorgeous. The beach is dog friendly which is a plus compared to Biloxi which will fine you for bringing your dog.
