Sorry for the late response to your request. We had a great experience with Pilot. The funding helped us very much as we had expected. One question today - do I need to declare those funds on my income tax report for 2025?
My opinion. Don't do it unless you plan on repaying soon and you do not live where property values somehow increased beyond imagination. In my case California. The "cap" does not mean squat. There are additional fees and to be brief and to the "point". Borrowed 300k 3 years ago. The repayment including the 300k is now 509k. You do the math.
