Every summer, my kids ask me to come here. They absolutely love it. Good sized, shaded campsites, nice clean facilities, the beach is really great, and the dog beach is so good, and one of the few state campground dog beaches in Wisconsin. The beach will have petoskey stones and other fossils to look at. In nearby Manitowoc is the maritime museum, which is a must see, in particular the USS Cobia submarine tour.
