I have been playing piano in retirement communities and memory care homes for the last 25 years. I've seen it all. Please believe me when I say- you do not want to put your loved ones here! This is not an honest, caring company, stay far away!
Our loved one, who has dementia, stayed at the Monarch's memory care facility in Cedar Park from March to late June 2025. While a few staff members - especially a standout hospice nurse - showed genuine care, the overall experience was disappointing. Major concerns included a serious breakdown in communication between hospice and facility staff, leading to improper medication management. I would not recommend this for your loved one. My mother was there for 1 year. They charged up levels of care without cause—all to make money. I put in numerous inquiries. No one could tell me why my mother needed additional care when an assessment was never done in the first place. My mother DID NOT decline or require any assistance during her 12 months. I got the chance to meet Employees & Director & OMG the building is beautiful, the Director had the audacity to call me "immature " for 1 I'm very professional and compared to that ghetto staff members on morning shift it isn't worth applying or working there. An old employee told me they always understaffed, on 2-10 shift not all employees are helpful, I don't even wish you luck on employees staying long , the turn over rate is will continue to be high this especially having a judgemental Executive Director.
