The lodge is in comfortable walking distance to Daylesford’s many cafes and restaurants. We stayed in Jack’s Cottage and loved the antique-style decor. It was nice and cosy too with the fireplace. The fresh flowers dotted around the cottage, cheese platter on arrival, and toiletries made us feel at home. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Overpriced and underwhelming. Great location but shabby chic at best. Tired and the heating didn’t work which for the price was ridiculous. As with a previous review, any reasonable enquiry was met with excuses and then hostility. Angeline (owner) also offers cheaper rates if you book outside the paid platforms. Don’t set your expectations too high. Much nicer accommodation is easily found in Daylesford for much less money and trouble.

We arrived to be welcomed into another world. Autumn was in full swing and Daylesford looked amazing in tones of red and yellow. Angelique and Richard have created an atmosphere at Poets Lodge that makes you forget the outside world. Enter to the crackle of the open fire and whole walls filled with beautiful books.
