Big thank you to Augi at Poets Corner Automotive for all the work he did on my 335i. He helped knock out a full performance setup on the car and made sure everything was installed right and working the way it should. A lot was done, including upgraded inlets, charge pipe, blow off valve, intercooler, fuel pump, plugs, and vacuum lines, and I really appreciate the time and care that went into everything. My car was diagnosed to have a bad transmission by another local shop. something didn't feel right so i took my car to poets since they are down the street from where i live. augi and his team found sensors disconnected and a bad solenoid sensor. they fixed and delivered my car on the same day! It is hard to find shops nowadays that you can trust. Definitely coming back when my car needs more work!
My car would not start and had it towed to Poets Corner Automotive thinking they were a reputable shop. I was told repairs would be $2,800, which would include replacing the battery, alternator and starter motor. They said the battery was dead but I had just replaced it 2 months ago. And the electronics (car lights, dash, radio, windows, etc.) on the car all worked when the car was towed to the shop. Honest shop - I took in a car which had squeaky brakes "replaced" by another shop 4 months earlier, but the squeaks had got worse. They found worn brakes, two pads badly gouged (I'd heard clonking), damaged rotors, several loose bolts, etc. Took pictures, quoted for replacements, had the job done a couple of hours later. Gave me the replaced parts, charged less than the estimate. Car now runs quietly. And I'll be using these guys from now on!
