delivery and pick up went smoothly; Vincent Holt was our drier today
The drop off and pick up in Arizona was great! Getting it to Maryland, great! Once it was time to deliver to my new home it was delayed a day which I understand the was a huge storm and I was told the truck broke down, happens.... however they must have left the POD outside in the rain because the entire floor was wet and everything on the floor was soaked. I would NEVER recommend PODS to anyone. This has been one of the most frustrating, expensive, and poorly managed moving experiences I have ever had. My POD was scheduled for delivery on Thursday, 7/23. I had movers booked and everything coordinated around that confirmed date. On the DAY OF DELIVERY, PODS changed my delivery date to 8/1. No phone call. No advance warning. No attempt to work with me. Just a text message telling me my plans had changed. Because of their decision, I had to cancel movers and lose my deposit. This was for pick up of empty containers, we’ve had excellent drivers outside of this, If you get Alberto, ask for literally anyone else. This guy is so rude and arrogant. He damaged our driveway picking up our first pod (empty) and then when he came back I told him how they had come in to drop off and Alberto blew me off saying that he’d hit a tree. Strange because I was telling him exactly how they had done it at drop off and been fine, but the guy scraped the pod all over our driveway and crumbled our driveway instead.
I had a lot of confusion with the logistics of PODs, with them not picking up containers or canceling without notice to me. The exception to this awful experience was the absolutely outstanding service of the delivery team. I want to commend two drivers, Anthony Diggs and Alberto, who communicated often and effectively with me at all time.
