Thirteen of us decended upon the River Lodge for a bachelor weekend. The house was a perfect fit and clean. We loved the pickleball court but mainly for the purpose of corn hole and can jam. We trekked down to the river for a beautiful view and took a 5 min drive to the 2.2 mile "Shades of Death" trail for a hike. That was about all the activities we did because the rest of the time was spent consuming abnormally large quantities of adult beverages and hanging out at the great house we rented. Poconos Log Cabin Rentals was fantastic in assisting our group with everything we needed. We had 5 guys on a bachelor trip and Lisa from Poconos Log Cabin Rentals assisted us every step of the way from finding the property to stay at to white water rafting which they booked for us. The homeowner was very nice and explained everything you needed to know about your cabin. They answer every email and every call or text promptly. Highly recommend!
Spacious cabins for a weekend getaway Grill, pool table and jacuzzi are a nice addition. Air conditioning is available in every room.
We stayed at River Lodge for a family reunion. We had 3 cabins in all. The Lodge was very spacious and had all the amenities, including a pickle ball court, a hot tub, and large wrap around porch perfect for dining while listening to the river. White Haven is within walking distance. The ice-cream shop is a must! Jim Thorpe is a delightful town that offers lots of small shops. Both have a train station. Camelback Adventure Park was also a big hit! I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Rented with Lisa and Lance for my friend’s Bachelor Party. They made the process super easy and got us discounts to events. We are older guys, so not too interested in Bachelor craziness, but they hooked us up with some great activities. We did a day of paintball, a pig roast, played poker and had a wonderful time. We selected the Emerald Cabin and it was very nice. A few things in the cabin needed some fixing/updating, but overall it was a great spot for our activities.
