Wonderful vet and staff! I have an eleven+ year old rescue beagle who developed renal failure. Barton heights advised us to euthanize our beloved pet. I am a RN and researched the condition and brought her to Pocono vet Dr. Wayne. He was optimistic,kind,and truthful. Leah has been there this weekend receiving ivs and meds, her kidney lab values improving,and wagging her tail when weVisited her today. Worst emergency vet ever! I recently took my cat to this office as an emergency case. My cat was having trouble with bowel movements and was very lethargic. The vet was so cold with us and acted like we were an inconvenience. The vet could not be more uncaring if he tried. We were eventually told by the technician; the vet didnt even come back in the room to tell us; that because of the recent storm and the power outages we would have to go somewhere else. Outstanding Veterinary Services This hospital offers nothing but excellence in care. Dr. Wayne has diagnosed and treated my dogs for years and saved many of my animals' lives. He recently saved my 9 year old Shar-Peis leg after 2 months of no progress with another vet. He saved my 12 year old's eye after she was attacked by another dog. The other reviews indicated that people were unhappy because they had to wait and I am confused by the comments. They saved my dog's life! I read the other reviews and am sad that they were not as positive as I experienced. I went to them when my dog was close to death. My own vet was away and I had IV drugs to give my dog over the holiday weekend. The tubes kept clogging. I went to Dr. Eric's group several times a day for help and they were incredibly supportive each time. They saved my dog's life and they went out of their way to help me. Dr. Eric may not be the warm and fuzzy support that you seek...but he is caring and professional... read more
Worst experience of my life Don't ever take your pet here! The night my cat was dying this vet was recommended to me thru a friend of a friend. I stood at the receptionist desk tears running down my face and I was ignored until they were ready to deal with me and my dying cat. They cared only about money and the vet wanted to run tests on a 13 year old cat that was barely alive. The whole staff including the vet were cold. Only saying they were sorry as I ran out the door.
Good to have in the area but could be better I've used this office twice in emergency situations and while they did give my dog the treatment he needed, they were unfriendly and seemed to only care that I knew I had to pay before I left. Also, during my second visit, I waited a really long time before anyone came into the exam room while my dog was really ill. It was a fairly scary experience, however, since there isn't another emergency vet in the area, there's not much else someone can do here with an after hours emergency... read more
Emergency care This emergency vet is available on holidays and throughout the night, but you pay much higher prices for their service. It is good to know there is a vet that is open when your regular vet isn't, but sometimes the staff is not very friendly.
