My daughter recently had an emergency appendectomy at Speare Memorial Hospital. It turned out that there was a stone in her appendix, so they had to convert from laparoscopic to open surgery in order to safely complete the procedure. While it was a scary experience for all of us to go through, the physicians and staff at Plymouth General Surgery were great communicators, and were appropriately cautious about making sure that she stayed in the hospital long enough to be sure she was recovering and avoid the risk of infection.... read more
