I bought an older home and noticed the toilet would shift slightly if you leaned on it. It didn’t seem urgent, but eventually I decided to get it looked at. The plumber showed me that the bolts had loosened and the wax ring was no longer sealing fully. He reset the toilet properly and made sure it sat perfectly secure. I’m glad I didn’t wait longer, because the leak could’ve damaged the subfloor.

We had an old utility sink in the basement that drained slowly and occasionally backed up during heavy rain. I assumed it was just a quirk of the house. The plumber cleaned out the trap, extended the standpipe slightly, and added a proper air gap to help it flow better. I never knew a few small changes could improve something that much. It’s been draining smoothly since.

There was a sudden drop in water pressure throughout the house, and I couldn’t figure out what changed. The plumber found that the pressure regulator at the main shutoff had worn out and wasn’t doing its job. He replaced it quickly, tested every faucet, and showed me how to monitor pressure levels in the future. The water feels consistent again, and I feel like I learned something useful.

There was water seeping into my hallway carpet, but I couldn’t tell where it was coming from. The plumber I called brought a moisture sensor and narrowed it down to a faulty joint behind the washing machine wall. He opened a small section, fixed it cleanly, and patched the access point so neatly that you’d never know it had been touched. It saved me from what could’ve turned into a much bigger problem.
