I recently had a kitchen/laundry renovation done. The company I went through provided the services required. I was given an estimate of expected plumbing price. Due to tap choice, I expected to pay a bit more than quoted. Also had to wait for taps to be fitted in laundry due to glass splashback being fitted, which had to be done first, resulting in being charged another call out fee. OVERPRICED AND STRESSFUL I had an insinkerator I wanted removed. I was quoted $420-$500. The plumber came, got stuck in, realised he didn’t have the right parts, told me he hadn’t seen anything like that before and might have to replace the bench. I was very stressed and couldn’t understand why he hadn’t checked before he had ripped everything out. He left to phone people and try and find the right part.
