A great new addition to the northwest side of Ann Arbor. Plum is a local chain, looking to expand in the Midwest. The Ann Arbor store is one of three locations currently open. Plum is a high end market. It is comparable to Whole Foods with a little Fresh Season's and Hiller's thrown in. Lots of wine, cheese, produce, fresh baked goods, wellness products, etc. Check out the maple pecan cookies sold near the Zingerman's counter. And the See's Candies counter often has free tastes. Yum.

Management is extremely resists toward minorities. They will lie about policies being broken to get their way. Management yells and shouts at their employees creating a uncomfortable and unstable work environment. I never felt safe their and was bullied constantly as a produce member.
We pre-ordered for NYE. They were out of more than half of what we ordered and didn’t inform us until pick up. They also weren’t ready with they other part of what was available during our pick up window.
Unfortunately, they’ve raised their prices, the quality and consistency of their prepared foods isn’t as reliable as it was a couple of years ago. And, OMG! What happened to their floral department? Their pre-made arrangements are Teleflora-esqe and are a dramatic departure from what they used to be like; it’s depressing. A more expensive TJ’s? The prepared foods are often dried out and not interesting and very costly. The variety is lacking as is the creativity of the cooking.
