Awful experience Please avoid Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. I took my sphynx kitty (11mos old) in for a checkup for a retained deciduous tooth (he never lost one of his baby teeth), that portion of the visit went OK, but at the end I figured I would have them trim his nails since we were there. They took him in the back and I was told to wait in the waiting area and they would bring Teddy to me when they were done. I sat down and next thing I know I hear yowling and crying (from Teddy) so I jumped up to go i... read more
Very Caring and Affordable We took our dog there to get a second opinion and the staff and Dr. Jones couldn't have been more understanding of the situation. The prices were affordable and they took alot of time discussing the possiblities and even called to follow up on how our Teddy was doing. Unfortunately he had Lymphoma and we decided to put him to sleep because he was 15. At least we got answers from them that we didn't get from our regular vet

To my horror, I discovered a TOM of mites in both ears. Poor Sky!, to have to tolerate this for over 2 years! I called PHPH and asked for any advice to rid these blood sucking parasites that could cause deafness. I was told he needed to be ... read more
Ripoff Don't go there. I went there years ago with my dog and everytime, they wanted to do xrays and surgery, etc etc etc. They milked me out of thousands of dollars and I love my dog so much I believed what they said. They told me I had to put him on a special diet that I could only buy from them and when my dog wouldn't eat it, the label on the package said it was guaranteed and to return it to the vet for a full refund. When I tried to return the food, the girl at the desk got so mad and gave me such a hard time about it ... read more
