There’s plenty of tennis courts in Visalia. It’s too bad the city can’t enter into some sort of partnership with the high schools to open theirs. The weekends are an important time for student athletes to practice outside the confines of the scholastic environment and for the rest of us that don’t want to make the trip out to Plaza. If they were only open until noon that would work as well. It’s too hot to be out after that anyhow.

Only tennis courts open to the public in Visalia, a city of 130,000. Plaza courts are usually full every evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. City fails to clean the tennis courts regularly, and contracts out the cleaning of courts to business that doesn't know what they're doing.

Very safe even late at night when it’s cooler to play. If I wanna practice solo there’s a nice back wall to practice service and good form. The lights stay on u til exactly 10:06 pm. I’ve never stayed out there later than that because it gets pretty dark.
