Normally I love getting Playa Bowls...never had an issue before. I got an order to-go this morning. As always, I ordered an Electric Mermaid Pitaya Bowl (no granola/add almond butter/half coconut base). Also tried one of their new Yuzu smoothies (that was great). Grabbed my bag, spoon and straw and left. Got down the road and went to eat it. This was a sad bowl. I had 3 slices of kiwi, a sad amount of pineapple and a clump of mango. We ate breakfast here while on vacation. Our bowls were delicious. The oatmeal wasn't the most exciting, but there isn't much you can do with Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal. The girl that waited on us was super sweet, and made sure to make my son a "pineapple water" that he requested. Staff was friendly, and orders came out quickly.
Tried the new pink pitaya smoothie and it’s absolutely delicious. The staff at Playa Bowls in OC are very friendly and helpful. The location is clean, bright, fun, and welcoming.
