Technician came out to diagnose a pool heater failure and left the pool in service mode, meaning the system was not returned to normal operation after the visit. That alone is a basic professionalism failure. Worse, the diagnosis itself was wrong. Rather than identifying the actual failed component, the technician attributed the problem to rodent contamination and submitted that finding to my home warranty company as the cause of failure. We had a very frustrating experience with Platinum Pool Care Inc., specifically with the technician Paul. They initially came out through our home warranty and repaired our pool pump. At the time of service, we were told we would be covered for 30 days if any issues came up. Unfortunately, when we needed follow-up service, they completely stopped responding. Consider this a 0 star review. We were sent to Platinum Pool Care by our home warranty company for a pool/spa heater repair. They were communicative to set up the initial evaluation, did no testing, and then stated they would order a part and get back to use to schedule the repair. I followed up with them 1-2 times a week for the next 6 weeks asking for an ETA on the part. PPC was contracted by AHC (home warranty provider) to come evaluate my hot tub heater for repair. Unfortunately the part needed for repair was not covered. I’ve been reaching out to PPC for a cash quote or recommendation but they have not returned any calls or texts pretty sure the whole thing is a scam. Both AHC AND PLATINUM POOL CARE.
