I saw Dr. Shoen on Nov 2023 for under eye consultation and he recommended to do a filler instead of removing the bags under my eyes . On Dec 15 I went back to his office and he performed a Valouma in my cheeks and it was extremely painful and uncomfortable. I complained about the severe pain and a bump that was created right away on the corner of my right eye and he said it will go away. Got a keloid removed off my ear. Perfectly fine. Nothing in my ear. Came back a month later for check up & doctor insisted I get steroid shot after me rejecting and saying no. Now it’s back. Hurts 10x more than it’s ever. I’m pissed. I researched right after that a steroid shot can bring back keloid and that’s exactly what happened and he knew that. Just wants $$$!!!
I cannot say enough about Dr. Shoen and his wonderful nurse, Barbara. From my very first consultation, they were warm, tender, and so understanding of my 7 cm painful cancer mass. They both walked me through every step of what it meant to have a bilateral mastectomy, making sure I understood the process with such compassion and patience. Outstanding patient care. Dr Shoen is an amazing surgeon. He takes his time to explain everything and listens to your concerns. He goes out of his way to assure his patients are pleased with their final outcome. His bedside manner is topnotch. All the ladies in his Metuchen office are amazing and caring.
