Turned up at this restaurant last night party of 7 as booked in July and paid deposit for special event - to find restaurant closed. We had booked weekend away to include this restaurant. Tried calling number straight to answerphone - this is simply not acceptable and so disappointing. Trying to find alternative place to eat on a Friday night in London near on impossible. As a big admirer of Ella and her recipe books, my partner and have been twice now to Plants and whilst the d�cor and atmosphere is lovely, the food just didn't live up to expectations. We had croquettes as a starter and they were melt-in-the-mouth and had a great taste but the main courses we had were just underwhelming with quite bland flavours. Stumbled upon the cutest little restaurant today, and it turned out to be such a gem 🌱 Not only was the food (I liked the Sourdough flatbread with 36-hour cultured cashew butter and Courgette trombetta with butter bean hummus, red pepper salsa and walnuts) an absolute delight—fresh, flavorful, and entirely plant-based—but the service made it extra special.
