Traveled a way to get there only to discover they were closed due to storm damage. The poor review is for their lack of communication. We checked the website in the morning before we left, and there was nothing about the park closure. In fact, we kept checking their website all day, even after we got home, and there was nothing about the closure. We tried calling the number given on their website, and could reach no one. We would like to reattempt to visit , but who knows if they will be closed again.

What a remarkable place for a public park. The vista changes constantly with the seasons. It is beautifully maintained and full of surprises. The camellia house in February is positively medicinal. I highly recommend a visit in any season.
