I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. Usually I avoid Puyallup because of all the traffic but coming from Bellevue, it actually wasn't a bad commute. I'd like to thank the office staff for their information and patience while they located my insurance. The doctor i saw was also very kind and thorough. Thank you Planned Parenthood
I have debilitating period cramps and wanted to start birth control, so I visited PP. There aren’t tons of openings but it’s still fairly easy to get an appointment, I just had to go to one outside of my city. I was nervous to visit this one in Puyallup because of the negative reviews about rude staff, but my experience was so nice that I wanted to leave a review. I went to Planned Parenthood today and honestly had such a good experience. Everyone from the check in team to my nurse, the doctor, and the admin staff was compassionate, patient, and really knowledgeable. I showed up thinking I knew exactly which birth control I wanted, but my nurse talked me through other options, explaining the pros, cons, and possible side effects in a way that made everything make sense. The middle aged receptionist that wears glasses was extremely rude and dismissive when I took my 16 year old daughter in today. I asked her whether we pay up front or at the end of the visit and she completely ignored my question and said she would only speak to my daughter. I understand patient confidentiality but there is no reason she couldn’t have just politely answered my question and then explained that their policy is to only communicate with the patient without the consent of the patient to do otherwise.
