I had an excellent experience at this clinic and received truly compassionate, trauma-informed care from everyone I interacted with. The front desk staff and medical assistant were kind, patient, and respectful during intake. Andrea, the nurse practitioner, was outstanding. I saw Carrie McGuigan a couple months ago and the appt still rubs me the wrong way. All I wanted was a Pap smear and birth control along with Plan B. I explained how many children i had because they do ask you how many pregnancies and how many living children you have, not only did she make a rude comment About how young I was for already having 3 children at 29 But she also tried to turn down the Pap smear without seeing when my actual last Pap smear was I explained it was at least three years ago and she tried to get out o... read more
During my first appointment with Carrie L. McGuigan I was scolded for asking a question and she used incorrect pronouns at my appointment for gender affirming care. 0/10 did not feel affirmed.
This was the best medical experience I’ve ever had in my life. No pressure, no forcing ideas into my head, they listened and provided the care I needed in under an hour. It took me a year and a half of being thrown in a circle just to not get help at all from my regular doctor. These people helped me within a day. Outstanding staff and care. Would come back for future birth control care for sure.
