I stopped in to inquire about a Silver Sneakers membership.. The start at the front desi were having a ball talking to one another... I thought they were very unfriendly and unprofessional... I really thought that Alex was rude... I wanted to check the place out... Alex looked at me like I was getting on his nerves.. That was not cool. They added a few new machines and moved around others. 1/4 of the equipment was removed from the building. Having space between machine wasn't the problem!. Now people waiting on machine is the problem but hey they now have plenty of room while they wait....... They replaced a 4 station cable machine with a 2 station Matrix machine and just a month in 1/2 of it is broken. Who know how long that's going to take to get fixed because nothing happens fast at Plant Fitness. Now we have more people standing around waiting... T... read more

Planet Fitness in Canandaigua, NY, is the worst gym we have ever visited. I rate it at the bottom of all Planet Fitness locations. The Staff are horrible, unfriendly, unwelcoming, and hostile, and create a terrible negative atmosphere in the club. The manager needs to be replaced, and the staff should be retrained in basic customer service skills. For my wife and me, it was an unwelcoming experience, and we wanted to leave immediately. The new equipment at the Alpine location in Grand Rapids is a huge improvement over the old equipment, the new cycle bikes are great! I am cyclist with the Pelton app, new bikes are just as good if not better. Please keep them.

If you are looking for a gym that you can workout without people using there phones sitting on equipment getting in others way, and are rude and disrespectful when confronted. DON'T waste your $$$ there. Worst part is, if you contact management, he is rude to. As long as the business is making $$$, they could care less about the serious members that want to just workout.

My son was profiled and discriminated called on June 19 2025 spoke to Alex the manager to complain and he cuss me out told me to go screw myself hanged up. Can't do anything cause it privately owned. Please dont go here. I've lived all my life in Calexico never been treated this way.

Terrible , terrible. This is not a place to work out. The staff is always on their phones, the manager is non-existent, the “trainer” is an old lady with no qualifications. How can they get away with this nonsense??

They have an old lady trainer who, im guessing, has an eating disorder. She told me she “works out” seven days a week, three to four hours a day. “ And the place is nasty. Not worth $25/ mo, and a $50 annual fee  Club 4 fitness is 300 yards away, and has actual weights.
