I thought I could use any Planet Fitness in the country with my black card, but in this case, they warned me that they would charge me $5.99 every time I went because my membership does not belong to that branch 🫠 The manager himself approached me.
Been a 5 year active member but due to the car break in issues I choose to stop attending the EH location. Thankful for the time I spent there, staff and guests were great. If it ever gets better maybe I'll be back.
They replaced all the cardio equipment and the new ones are awful
I’ve had a good experience here however the changes to the gym recently I am not a fan of. The lights on the left side are too bright and give me a headache. Not sure if that can be changed. The elliptical equipment is now on that side and I like to use it before I hit the weights however I had to stop after only a couple of minutes due to a pounding headache from the lighting. Not a fan of the new ellipticals more so feedback for the company itself I know the location probably doesn’t have control over new equipment
Update 9/17/25: Phenomenal upgrade! New equipment that most PF’s don’t have for one. And they redesigned equipment placement and added the 360 equipment to the floor. They also added a deadlift / squat room with squat racks. Amazing upgrade really. Went from being the PF I didn’t care for to being the absolute best in equipment selection, placement, room, vibe, etc. Great job PF East Hartford!
